You can go to San Miguel De Allende from the big central north bus terminal “Terminal Central Autobuses Del Norte” in Mexico City. There are many bus companies next each other at Autobuses Del Norte, and you are going to take one of the companies to go to San Miguel. Depends on the companies, the quality, price and time are different. Some of the buses have toilets, wide space seat for each person, TVs, light food and snacks, and even free wifi.

Townscape Photography / San Miguel De Allende, Mexico
La Parroquia de San Miguel
One of the best things to do in San Miguel De Allende is just walking.
In the central, there are remarkable beautiful architect cathedrals “La Parroquia de San Miguel”. You can see whole small town in a day, and you are going to come here anyway eventually. It will be good to walk around the central, local markets, streets, just as you like. There are not much tacos as street food like Mexico City, but are different really tasty street food much.
The whole townscape was designed in yellow, red, pink and orange. Those warm colors make people warmer and happier to be. The city’s atmosphere is something slow in a good way. I’ve heard there are many retired American moved into here for their rest of lives, and I knew the reason why soon after I started to walk.
Orange Blue Yellow
Even the street food was red and yellow just like this city’s color.
I ate it. There are tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, cheese and chickens on some tortillas. It can be one of kinds of tacos, but very different from Mexico City’s one.
As I walked, I’ve met many interesting people, food, events and more.
She was on the street for some reasons. I hope that I am not the only one who can see her.
This is the another one, and her style is very typical Mexican make-up as for “Day Of The Dead” in Mexico.
I couldn’t speak Spanish, so I don’t know why they had the make-up, and stood on the streets.
Wedding / San Miguel De Allende, Mexico
I’ve seen 5 or 6 weddings in the small town anywhere in the same day. (Maybe because it was on a weekend)
Like in each cathedral, there were someone’s weddings, and each streets the parades were moving to forward with typical Mexican musicians.
I guess wedding is one of the biggest industries for this town, San Miguel. Here is much safer, beautiful with warm colors, and pretty. (it looks somewhere in Europe)
It’s interesting to see their things and events by their different culture.
Night Photography / San Miguel De Allende, Mexico
When it’s daylight the sight is of course nice! but also in the night, the sight will be another way of beautiful.
It’s getting darker, step by step. Slowly but absolutely.
Then once it’s got dark, the whole city is turned to be dark quickly.
The car’s headlights and streets lights would illuminate the city in fancy way.
I remembered the words:
I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day.
By Van Gogh
Night La Parroquia de San Miguel
In the night, the sight of central is more beautiful and cooler for me.
Even in the night or “because” it’s night, there were many people outside with noise of chatting, music, and singing. The town had the fun sounds of people whole night.
